includes

systems.
Iris
devices
are
intended
to
be
installed
by
the
consumer
and,
depending
on
the
particular
product
purchased,
can
be
programmed
to
provide
alerts
via
email,
text,
or
voice
message
to
as
many
as
20
contacts.
This
offsite
alert
feature
is
provided
through
broadband
Internet
service,
for
a
monthly
fee
of
$9.99.
In
addition,
backup
cellular
service
is
available
for
$4.99
a
month
or
continuous
cellular
connection
for
$9.99
per
month.
Lowe's
does
not
offer
installation
service
in
connection
with
Iris
products.
However,
the
product
website
indicates
that
some
features
(e.g.
smart
thermostat
and
certain
switches)
must
be
hardwired
and
advises
that
a
licensed
electrician
may
be
needed.
GE
Choice
Alert
The
GE
Choice
Alert
product
line
provides
on
-site
alarms
and
silent
alerts
for
a
variety
of
conditions,
including
intrusions,
flooding/water
issues,
and
the
presence
of
fire
or
smoke.
However,
unlike
Home
Alert
and
the
Iris
line,
Choice
Alert
does
not
include
an
off
-site
notification
component.

Tattletale
Wireless
Alarm
Svstem
The
Tattletale
alarm
system
product
line
will
allow
up
to
6
contacts
to
be
notified,
via
text
or
email,
if
a
motion,
smoke,
or
other
detector
is
activated
in
the
home.
While
the
initial
30
days
of
notification
service
is
advertised
as
free,
I
found
no
information
indicating
the
price
thereafter.
The
product
description
touts
its
capability
to
contract
emergency
responders,
but
the
on-line
instruction
manual
includes
the
repeated
statement
that,
in
order
to
enjoy
this
feature,
the
purchaser
must
subscribe
to
a
professional
monitoring
service.
IDEAL
Security
Wireless
Home
Alarm
System
Unlike
Home
Alert,
the
IDEAL
product
line
uses
telephone
land
lines
are
the
means
of
providing
off
-site
alerts.
The
device
can
be
programmed
to
initiate
calls
to
as
many
as
5
telephone
numbers.
There
is
no
monthly
fee,
other
than
the
costs
associated
with
the
telephone
service.
SkvLink
Wireless
System
Alarm
The
SkyLink
system
also
uses
land
lines
to
provide
off
-site
alerts.
The
device
can

programmed
